Description
Purchase either the small or large skeg with or without the skeg mount. When purchasing as a kit you will require PU glue (sold separately) to secure the mount to the base of your packraft. Once fitted you will be able to use your new skeg with ease.
Skegs are an important accessory to your packraft and greatly improve tracking, keeping your packraft pointing where you want it while you paddle, thereby greatly improving paddling efficiency and speed. As they are removable, they can be taken off while your MRS packraft is rolled up for transport, while the flexible mount rolls with your packraft (unlike hard, rigid plastic mounts).
The larger fin is ideal for greater tracking while cruising and due to its extra length is best suited to open water cruising rather than whitewater rafting. The lower profile fin is multipurpose, helps tracking while paddling and is also sufficiently low profile to be suitable while tackling whitewater sections.
