Georgie, along with her sister Becks, founded Go Wild Go West, a website focused on sharing fun, family-friendly activities in the great outdoors. In 2023, she was introduced to packrafting and it has revolutionised the way her family experience the outdoors. Finding an easy and convenient way to get on the water has meant they can have a quick paddle after school, on holiday or as part of a larger expedition combined with wild camping and hiking. Packrafting has opened up so many more adventure possibilities for them and Georgie is keen to get the message out to other families so they can join in too!
The thing our family loves the most about our MRS packrafts is the sense of adventure… Whether we’re paddling downriver, exploring the coastline, or venturing across a lake, we love the freedom that being on the water gives us; it’s a chance to escape the crowds, and discover exciting new places from water level. For the children, packrafting has encouraged their confidence on the water; they now love to paddle down rapids, jump in to deep lochs, and even surf the waves on the packraft! Being light and easy to carry, we can take our MRS packrafts on all our wild family adventures… And what’s next? We’re planning on paddling to a hidden beach for an overnight camping trip.
